Johnny Lee McGuire

Johnny is survived by his wife, Kathy McGuire, two children, daughter Kacy G. Martin and Cody S. Grubbs, 2 granddaughters and 3 grandsons along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William B. and Gladys P. McGuire and his siblings, James William McGuire, Billie Sue Whitt.

Johnny graduated from Athens Bible School in 1971.

Johnny was a Deacon at the Dulles Church of Christ in Ashburn VA where he joyfully served others and Christ. He loved his position as the Senior-Pricing Director for SAIC, he loved music and he loved a good cold sun drop.

There will be a celebration of his life there in Virginia, and then he will be brought back home to Athens soil to be laid to rest. His nephew Eric Reynolds will be officiating, and Dale McElyea will offer thoughts and closing prayer on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at 2 p.m. for a graveside service at Thatch-Mann Cemetery. McConnell Funeral home is providing the graveside service.
