Visitation will be held from noon until 2 p.m. Monday, March 16, with the service following at First Presbyterian Church, Athens.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred Orr London and Martha Josephine Griffin London. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Weaver David (Herby) Greenhaw; children, Melanie (Steve) McBay, Greg (Stacey) Greenhaw, Chad (Kerrie) Greenhaw and Clint Greenhaw; grandchildren, Jake Moore, Gavin Greenhaw, Baylor Greenhaw, Sophie Greenhaw, London Greenhaw, Addison Greenhaw, Reece Greenhaw, Carson Greenhaw and Claire Greenhaw; brother, David (Jenny) London; several nieces, a nephew, cousins and special caregivers and friends, Ruby Crooks, Denise Oliver, Christy Fuller, Becky Wallace, Ashley Ware and Cynthia Daniel.
Jo Ellen was a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church of Athens and sang in the choir. She was a teacher at Athens City Schools and Limestone County Schools for more than 40 years. Jo Ellen was a devoted wife, mother and "Gran" who loved and cherished her entire family. She was known as an award-winning cook and enjoyed spending time with friends, cheering for Alabama and Athens football, and she loved her animals. She was loved by all who knew her.
Pallbearers will be Greg Greenhaw, Chad Greenhaw, Clint Greenhaw, Jake Moore, Gavin Greenhaw and Baylor Greenhaw. Honorary pallbearers will be Reece Greenhaw and Carson Greenhaw.
