James B. Ligon

Visitation will be Saturday, April 25, 2015 from 1:00- 2:00 P.M. at McConnell Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Mr. Ligon passed away Friday April 17, 2015 at NHC in Franklin, TN.

He was born November 24, 1923 in Colbert County, AL to Marvin Leslie Ligon and Ella Sparks Ligon.

Mr. Ligon is preceded in death by his parents, and wife Douglas Thomas Ligon, and his second wife, Frances Creel Ligon. He had three sisters and two brothers.

He is survived by his one son Damon Ligon and wife Malissa of Northport, AL, three daughters Marcia Akers and husband Ottie of Nashville, TN, Jamie Ligon of Hoover, AL and Rita Ligon of Coker, AL, five grandchildren Katie Akers of Nashville, TN, April Johnson of Coker, AL, Brandon Ligon and wife Summer of Northport, AL, Caylan Watkins of Northport, AL, and Kelsey Watkins of Northport, AL, 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Marcia Akers, Jamie Ligon, Rita Ligon, Damon Ligon, Malissa Ligon, Ottie Akers, and Katie Akers.
