James Gallien

On November 30, 2011, James Marion Gallien, 89, went to be with the Lord from his home in Athens, Alabama with his wife by his side. He was born February 22, 1922, in Wayne County, Tennessee, to Nancy and Babe Gallien.

Funeral services for Mr. Gallien will be held at McConnell Funeral Home, Athens, Alabama, at 2 pm Saturday, December 3, 2011, with interment in the adjacent Roselawn Memorial Cemetery following. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 1:45 pm. Services will be officiated by Reverends Rob Phraner and H. (Henry) Melton.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Frances Butler Gallien, two sons Stanley Gallien (wife, Wanda Guyse Gallien), and Randy Gallien (wife, Sharon Williamson Gallien), one daughter Marian Gallien Smith (husband, Edward (deceased)), brother-in-law, Floyd Butler (wife, Margie), 12 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
