Mr. Cockrell was born November 12, 1939, in Anderson, AL to Jessie William Cockrell and Isabell McConnell Cockrell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Carel Cockrell and Edwin Cockrell, one sister, Margaret Janell Warren and her husband James Warren, one brother-in-law Royce Cottrell.
Mr. Cockrell was a farmer.
He is survived by one sister Sarah Cottrell of Athens, AL, one brother Danny Wayne Cockrell (Susie) of London, Kentucky.
There will be a private graveside service at Bethel Cemetery in Anderson, AL at a later date.
