Doris Moon Lankster

Funeral service will be Monday, July 3, 2017 at 1 p.m. at McConnell Memorial Chapel with Joel Carwile officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery.

Ms. Lankster was born July 5, 1941 in Huntsville, AL to Dewey and Louise Moon. She attended First Baptist Church in Huntsville. She is preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Robert Moon.

Survivors include: one son, John Dean of Athens; two daughters, Jane Davis and husband Ken of Scottsboro, AL; Glenda Stinchcomb and husband Steve of Athens, AL; two brothers, R.D. Moon and wife Dathrene of Huntsville; Archie Moon of Madison; three sisters, Tottsi Childress of Huntsville; Jessie Ruth Mitchell and husband Jimmy of Madison; Nancy Moon of Madison; two grandchildren, Tiffany Hubbard and husband Jake of Calendar, Iowa; John Dean, Jr. of Athens; three great grandchildren, Aiden Hubbard, Ariana Hubbard, Amiah Hubbard; and several nieces and nephews.
