Bill Depew was born in Van Nuys, CA on June 22nd, 1947 to Eleanor and Matthew Depew. He died October 28th, 2015 after a short illness. He was 68. Bill grew up in the San Fernando Valley, graduated from James Monroe High School and attended Valley College. He worked at Lockheed in Burbank before and after his Army service in Vietnam (1970-1972). Upon return from the Army, Bill enjoyed fast cars, fast motorcycles, fast girls and loud music. He lived life to the fullest until a disabling motorcycle accident in 1974. He recovered in So. Calif. for 5 years prior to the family moving to Atascadero in 1979. Bill loved his Dodgers and the Lakers and he read the LA Times daily until his death. For a man with limited abilities, he led a full life. He enjoyed going for rides, watching sports on TV and participating in any possible activity. Bill is pre deceased by both parents. He is survived by his cousin Sandy (Luis) Silveira who cared for him since his parents’ death. He is also survived by numerous other cousins, an aunt and uncle and life long friend Jim McDougall.
