He was survived by his wife Marina Fernandez Morfin, son, Gerardo Morfin, daughters Blanca Morfin Fernandez & Cristal Fernandez Morfin.
He was a hardworking man who came from nothing and built several businesses in order to support not only his family, but all loved ones around him. Victor and his wife opened their first business over 20 years ago, La Mexicana Restaurant in Atascadero, and it continues to flourish. Later on he would go on to open a second La Mexicana in Paso Robles with a family partner, and then opened up Las Comadres Lavanderia in Paso Robles with a close family friend.
Victor also supported his oldest and only son with opening Marina’s Cocina in Atascadero. He always reverted to his home roots of hard, physical labor that pushed him to buy agricultural and ranch land in Mexico where he, himself, planted and harvested feed and raised cattle.
But above all he was a loving family man that would risk anything and everything to keep his family close and protected.
Words will never be able to describe how much his family and friends will miss him but he will be carried in their hearts forever as a father, a husband, a mentor and an amazing human being.
Services for Victor will begin on Wednesday September 20, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00p.m. at Chapel of the Roses, 3450 El Camino Real, Atascadero, CA 93422. Followed the next day by a Funeral Mass on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church in Paso Robles, CA with a burial at Pine Mountain Cemetery in Atascadero.
