Jimmy spoke to my RYLA class in 2019. I remember it vividly. He was one of the kindest men I’ve ever met, with a quick sense of humor. I loved how he had us hold hands to pray, and my highlight of everyday was watching him raise the flag. Jimmy was a truly amazing man and he will be missed.

What a treasure to America.  Jimmy spoke at our Rotary Club in Sierra Madre during our Veterans Day tribute at our meeting and at the Sierra Madre Middle School presentations. His heartwarming rendition of the meaning of the Pledge of Allegiance touched everyone. Jimmy’s  humorous caricature of Woody Woodpecker left all of the kids and adults laughing.  Bless your soul, Jimmy, for all of the good you brought to others.  RIP. 




I met Jimmy about 10 years ago, or so. He was introduced to me by a mutual friend. Jimmy and I became good friends and he spoke several times in our church. We gave him a special reception for his 93rd birthday. When I met him at age 90, he'd just given up flying his private plane. What an incredible patriot and human being. You will be greatly missed, my friend. "Go Get 'Em, Tiger."

I am thankful and grateful for Jimmy's friendship with my father David Rosen. They met at the Hollywood Legion and both were in WWII and understand the meaning of life!  I also appreciate the friendship I had with Jimmy and enjoyed his personality as well as his insights. Jimmy was a great man, friend and guru. You will be missed my friend but "never" forgotten.  P.S. You and my dad purchased theatre seats side by side and I will cherish those seats with love and memories.

The Webster Webfoot Show ran a contest where you mailed in your phone number and then hoped they called you. The catch was anytime your home phone rang, you had to answer and say ‘Webster Webfoot!’ We all did this and my parents were good sports about it, explaining to anyone who called why we were answering ‘Webster Webfoot.’ My mother was an Avon Lady at the time and had a lot of customers calling her that made it even more confusing. Well, sure enough, my mother got fed up with it and answered the phone one day with a ‘Hello’ only to find out it was Jimmy Weldon live on the Webster Webfoot Show. My mother was mortified. “My kids are going to kill me!” Instead of the grand prize of a treasure trove of toys, we got a pair of drive-in movie tickets as consolation. We never used them! What a memory! Rest In Peace, Mr Weldon.

Jimmy blessed us with his presence and love every year for decades. A very special person and incredible influence on our young students. Shown here at the RYLA early morning flag raising, pledge and song. Jimmy's presentation to the students on the value and glory of our flag inspired so many. His additional sharing on living a positive and productive life impacted the students strongly and was a large part of our students leaving the camp as stronger more enlightened future leaders.

Jimmy has gone home to be with his beloved Muriel. They never had
children of their own, but Jimmy and Webster ("I am a duck!") and,
later, Yakky-Doodle entertained millions of kids around the world.
A darn good ventriloquist, a fine actor, a pretty good pilot, a great
patriot and a good ol' boy! "Stairway to Heaven" indeed. Save us a
spot across the mic from you, Jimmy.......

Uncle Jimmy was, indeed, my favorite uncle (sorry, relatives.) I was on his show in 1954, and we were re-introduced about 20 years ago. He and Webster taught me much about life and laughter and getting along. In the years between our times together, the two of them never left me. And the warmth and love and hope of "Little Joe The Christmas Tree" remain strong in my heart. Love ya, Jimmy. 

i am so sorry to here about jimmy. i so enjoyed everythink he did.i loved yakkie.he loved  america so much. he is going to be so missed.
