Betty Lee Fisher-Orona came into the world on July 15, 1942. At age 72, she has been called home to God’s army of souls, returning to her heavenly form where she’ll keep watch over her family’s earthly bodies.
Betty’s life came to a peaceful end, surrounded by a sea of loved ones Monday, Oct. 6 in her Atascadero home.
Betty will be joining her beloved parents — her mother Agnes Fisher and her father Bud Fisher, a World War II hero.
To simply say a person is survived by many loved ones and preceded by even more is often not enough. There is so much more to the full lives of our loved ones lead, while they’re with us.
For Betty, her three beautiful children, six dear grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren are her most cherished accomplishments.
Her eldest treasured daughter, Penny Hatcher, blossomed into a mother in her own right. She has two sons, Josh and Austin Hatcher. Her first born son Josh and daughter-in-law Jeannie have two sons: Ian and Blake Hatcher.
Betty’s children continue with her second child and first son Richard Sanchez, and his life partner Kevin White. Richard gave his mother her first grandchild and the only girl, Britni Lambert-Sanchez.
Betty and her first husband Rudy Sanchez were blessed again with a third child and second son James Sanchez. Marreid to Raeann, together they have been blessed with three healthy boys; Shane, Eric and Logan Sanchez.
As an eldest child, Betty also leaves behind her five beloved siblings; Jack Fisher, Pat DeFabio, Candy Bengston, Kathy Sullivan and Mike Sullivan.
We ask for your continued love and support during this time. Services are to be held Saturday, Oct. 11 at 1 p.m. at the Chapel of the Roses in Atascadero.
Betty’s life celebration will follow at 2 p.m. at Kiwanis Hall in Atascadero. Food and refreshments will be provided.
In memory of her Father, the family wishes that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Betty’s name to the local VFW.
