After his schooling, he worked helping his Dad farm and ranch. He worked for George and Stenner Flaata for quite some time, and then later worked for Olaf Viker.
Henry married Jean Frampton on September 24, 1958. They lived and worked at Olaf’s for a while, until he bought a farm and moved in a house. Jean’s health started to fail in the early 60’s. He farmed, raised cattle, planted trees, and grew a garden as well as caring for Jean and the house. They enjoyed the company of family and friends and playing cards. Jean died on January 6, 1975. Henry sold the farm in 1985 and moved to Mankota. He was a member of the New Horizons Centre and the Bowling Centre where he enjoyed cards and bowling. He loved music and dancing.
In the late 80’s a strong friendship developed between Violet Szigety and Henry. They played cribbage, bowled, attended church and most community functions until their health started to fail.
After having a stroke, Henry was admitted to Prairie View Health Centre where he remained for five years until he passed away. The family wishes to thank all the staff at the Prairie View Health Centre for their excellent care that he received. He will be missed by all.
