Floyd Henry Griffin was born July 7, 1932 at Rockglen, SK. He was the baby of 12 siblings. From an early age, Joe learned the ethics of hard work. Being born and raised on a farm, he carried on as a farm labourer to many in the community. Joe married Doreen Steppling on April 28, 1960. Joe had decided it was time to move on from a farm hand to a fuel truck driver and many years later joined the team at the Department of Highways. Joe always made time for family and community. He was an avid curler, enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling. As the years passed, Joe was able to cherish time spent with his grandchildren and great-granddaughter.
