Predeceased by his wife Helen (Wald), daughter Beverley, grandson Tyler, sisters Phyllis and Myrtle and brother Chester, Cliff is survived by his daughters Caryl (Allan) Watts and Debbie (Bob) Shilson, and son Jim (Pat), daughter-in-law Ann; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, brother Cecil as well as several nieces and nephews. Clifford (Cliff) Day was born August 21, 1923 in Kincaid, SK and grew up on the family farm north of Meyronne, SK. His school years were spent at Glenarchy and Meyronne Schools and as soon as his age permitted, joined the Royal Canadian Air Force service from 1943 to 1946 as an Air Frame Technician during the war. During his Military Service, he met Helen Wald, and shortly after his release, they were married in the Meyronne United Church and spent 49 wonderful years together until Helen’s death in 1996. They farmed until 1983, when they semi-retired and moved to Thomson Lake Regional Park. There, they enjoyed many years of golfing, fishing, boating and helping Jim on the farm. Cliff served on many community boards and committees including a councillor with the RM of Pinto Creek, and was a founding board member of the Meyronne Credit Union. Cliff was instrumental in the development of the Meyronne Bowling Alley and the Notekeu Rearing Pond. He was a staunch Mason and Legion Member for 50 plus years. His love of curling took him to the Provincial and National Legion and Senior Championships as a competitor, and to countless Briers, Scotties, and World Curling Championships as an avid fan.
