With God’s loving embrace, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather Clarence Dosch, of Willow Bunch, at age 71, on Monday, July 30, 2012.
Clarence was born April 28, 1941, in Willow Bunch. He was the third child born to Adam and Zelia (Balaux) Dosch. He was raised on the farm and began his schooling at Grace School, then Diamond Stone and Willow Bunch Schools. In 1962, Clarence began farming with his father and later farmed on his own. He worked with cattle for years. On September 28, 1963, Clarence married Doris Champigny. They resided on the original Dosch homestead and raised two sons, Warren and Grant. Clarence was 4-H Club member of several years, was secretary of Grace School until it closed and then was a board member for the Willow Bunch School for several years. He had been an out-of-doors person, an avid bird and big game hunter for 40 years. He took up taxidermy as a hobby.
Predeceased by his parents, Adam and Zelia Dosch, father and mother-in-law Orphis and Cecile Champigny, and brother-in-law Francis Gartner, Clarence will always be cherished in the hearts of his loving wife, Doris, two sons Warren (Amanda Walter) and son Stanley Walter of Regina and Grant (Lorna) and their daughter Josie of Maple Creek; three brothers Marvin (Simone) Dosch of Teulon, MN; Richard (Megan) Dosch of Kamploops, BC; and Lloyd (Renée) Dosch of Neuanlage SK; sisters-in-law Jeannette Gartner of Regina; Liette (Ken) Hrabia of Carlyle, SK; Nicole (Rod) Kyle of Kelowna, BC; Joanne (Gerald) Martin of Saskatoon, SK; and brothers-in-law Raymond (Lorainne) Champigny of Vernon, BC; and Leo (Linda) Champigny of Okotoks, AB; Marcel (Bernice) Champigny of Chiliwack, BC; Ferny (Joanne) Champigny of Assiniboia, SK; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Funeral Mass was celebrated Friday, August 3, 2012 at 1:30 PM at St. Ignace R.C. Church, Willow Bunch, SK. Father Joy Montiague celebrant. Warren and Grant placed the Pall and with granddaughter Josie lit the Pascal Candle. Readers were Lorna and Amanda and offertory gifts presented by Lloyd and Renée. Tribute was given by Maurice Champigny. Music Ministry was led by Willow Bunch Church Choir, with special music tribute – Gerald Rondeau. Pallbearers were: Leo Champigny, Ferny Champigny, Gerald Martin, Ken Hrabia, Quentin Dosch, and Dwayne Dosch. Interment followed in St. Ignace Roman Catholic Cemetery. Donations in Memory of Clarence may be made to the Allan Blair Cancer Centre – SK Cancer. Arrangements entrusted to Ross Funeral Service, Assiniboia, SK.
