Ben Allan McLeod

Ben passed away at Moose Jaw Union Hospital November 16, 2013 at the age of 89 years. He was born on the family farm, June 22, 1924. He attended Varsity school until he quit to begin farming. He raised cattle, was active in the community and he always planted a garden. Ben cared for his parents until his father passed away and his mother had to go into a nursing home. Predeceased by his parents Allan and Jessie McLeod, sister Annie MacTaggart, brothers Neil and Archie, sister-in-law Viva, brothers-in-law Harold Wilson, Dellamier James, Ken Sutherland, Harald Mastad and Trevor Pyle as well as nieces and nephews, Ben is survived by his brother Donald (Hazel) and sisters Margaret James, Doris Mastad, Elsie Sutherland, Edith Wilson and Laura Pyle as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service was held on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at the McCord United Church, McCord, SK. Reverend Mathias Ross officiated. Interment followed in McCord Cemetery. Donations in Memory of Ben may be made to the McCord and District Recreation Center. Arrangements entrusted to Ross Funeral Service, Assiniboia, SK.
