Walter Ralph Harris

Harris, Walter Ralph, 81, of Beaverdam, passed away on May 1, 2016. He is survived by his wife, Helen Hall Harris; children, Don R. Harris (Ann), David G. Harris (Kim), and Wendy H. Haupt (Butch); nephew, Bart Bass; 8 grandchildren, Michael, Catherine, Lauren, Sydney, Taylor, Caroline, Hannah, and Heather; 3 great-grandchildren, Emerson, Sutton, and Hensley; and 2 sisters, Agnes Reed and Mildred Haley. Ralph was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church and Gideons International. He retired from Virginia Dominion Power after 37 years of service. The family will receive friends from 3-5pm on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Shiloh United Methodist Church, 17420 Shiloh Church Rd., Montpelier, VA, where a service will be held at 12 Noon on Thursday, May 5, 2016. Interment will be at the Church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shiloh Cemetery Fund, c/o Sam Moody, 17301 Bandana Farm Lane, Beaverdam, VA 23015.
