She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Lee Godsey, Sr.; grandparents, Bill and Joyce Madison, Jr.; grandmother, Alice Childress; and Aunts, Jacque Bowmaster and Edwina Hale.
Left to cherish her memory is her mother, Nina Godsey; brother, Gerald Lee Godsey, Jr. (Shelia); nephews, Justin Godsey (Shannon) and Jacob Godsey; aunts, Susan Derricott and Rhonda Mills; uncle, Gary Madison (Soveida); and a host of cousins.
Theresa loved watching TV, playing her handheld games, and reading. She was always giddy and enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be missed by those who knew her.
The family will receive friends from 12:00pm to 1:00pm on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 412 S. Washington Hwy, Ashland, VA 23005 where a funeral service will begin at 1:00pm. Interment will follow at Signal Hill Memorial Park, 12360 Hanover Courthouse Rd., Hanover, VA 23069.
