HACKNEY, Michael Lee, 57, of Chester, died Sunday, November 15, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vadius and Helen Hackney. A bricklayer with Boschen Masonry, Mike shared a love for Harley-Davidson Motorcycles and taking long rides with his wife and friends. Mike also enjoyed sitting around the fire listening to music and telling stories with his daughter and close friends. Mike had a heart of gold and will be sorely missed by many. His daughter-in-law will forever miss his big bear hugs. "We know you are riding high, continue to watch over us." Mike is survived by his wife, Carol; his children, Michael Hackney Jr., William Hackney, T.J. Anderson, Ashley Anderson and Caitlin Anderson; a sister, Brenda Young; and his two "four-legged buddies," Lucy and Cody, who will miss him dearly. The family will receive friends at the Nelsen Funeral Home, Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, on Wednesday, November 18. The family will gather privately from 5 to 6 p.m. and will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m., with a memorial service to follow at 7:30 p.m.
