Mary Belvin Healy

HEALY, Mary Belvin, of Beaverdam, passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2021.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow W. Healy; father, George W. Belvin; mother, Mittie L. Belvin; daughter, Thelma Moore; son-in-law, Waverly Moore; granddaughter, Patricia A. Waller; great-grandson, Donald W. Waller; and 8 brothers and sisters with their spouses.
Mary was a Machine Technician for 38 years with Philip Morris. She was a devoted parishioner of Elon Baptist Church and a founding member of Mechanicsville United Methodist Church. Mary was known for her beautiful voice as a choir member at church and a member of a traveling gospel group in the Richmond area. She was also a member of Commanders Club of Disabled American Veterans, an Eastern Star member for 29 years, a Joy Club member, and a member of The Women’s Federation for World Peace.
At 109 years old, Mary was able to pass away peacefully in her home as one of The Lord’s precious children. She loved her family dearly. She enjoyed her time as a homemaker, raising her chickens, tending her garden, and canning.
Left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren, Ronald A. Martin (Deb) and Brenda L. Martin (John); grand-son-in-law, Robert E. Waller; great-grandchildren, Kristin A. Lough (Josh) and Robert A. Waller (Bev); and beyond, James H. Waller, Morgan L. Waller, and Isabelle L. Smith.
The family will receive friends from 5pm to 8pm on Friday, November 12, 2021 at Nelsen Ashland, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, VA 23005. A funeral service will be held at 11am on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Elon Baptist Church, 14031 Verdon Road, Beaverdam, VA 23015 where interment will follow.
