Marsha Ann Stockwell

Marsha Ann Stockwell passed away on April 28 2015 in the presence of her family at VCU Medical Center. Marsha was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Ruth Norman. Marsha is survived by a large and loving family. She was the beloved wife of J. Leon Stockwell for 45 years. She will be missed by her children: Jeffery Leon Stockwell and Heather Noel Hayden (Steve). Marsha was the treasured grandmother of Katherine Ann Stockwell, Jacob Leon Stockwell, and Joshua Michael Hayden. Marsha will be dearly missed by her siblings, William Michael Norman, David Patrick Norman (Cindy) and Susan Lynn Williams (Mike). Marsha was adored by her many nieces and nephews and devoted her life to caring for family and friends. Marsha loved to spend her days with her grandchildren, nieces and nephews building fairy houses, leading musical parades, hosting tea parties and baking cookies. She loved to spend time in her garden and received the designation of Master Gardener. Marsha was a long standing member of the Eastern Star. She loved to spend her time nourishing her family and was renowned for her cooking. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 1 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Nelsen Funeral Home, Ashland VA, 23005. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday May 2 at St. Peter’s United Methodist Church, Montpelier, VA.
