Louise LaMare Jones

She is survived by her children, Byron J. LaMare (Alena), Susan L. Ailstock (Mason), Christine M. Beard (Percy), Douglas, Kevin, Tony (passed), and Eddy Elmore, Bobby, Eddy, Tony, and James Jones; sisters, Zella, Renalda, Flossie, Sylvia; brothers, Leon, Dave; brothers-in-law, Lawrence Jones (Nancy), Glen Elmore (Nancy); and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, family members, and friends that loved her dearly.

Louise is preceded in death by her husband, James Henry Jones Sr., her parents, Adrian and Rose LaMare; brother, Abraham W. LaMare; sister, Margaret Minton; and grandparents, Louis and Helen Agoney.

Louise attended Dannemora High School and was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church. Louise enjoyed her family and home, being a caregiver, singing, enjoyed her pets, reading and gardening, and spent many years working in retail and retired from Ukrop’s.

A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, Va. 23005, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held at 2 p.m. in Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia, 10300 Pridesville Rd., Amelia Court House, Va. 23002.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Ashland Rescue Squad or St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 105 S. Snead St., Ashland, Va. 23005.
