She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Dolores Hurst.
Linda grew up in Gibbstown, NJ with her parents and 5 siblings. She was a 1971 graduate of Paulsboro High School in Paulsboro, NJ. She moved to Virginia in 2004 when her first grandchild was born. Linda retired from Westminster Canterbury where she worked in Hospitality Management for 10 years and previously had a long career with P.S.I. in Sewell, NJ.
She was a member at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Hanover, VA. She enjoyed saltwater fishing with Van and taking care of her loyal dog, Zen. Her greatest impact was being a loving and devoted mother, "Mom Mom," sister, aunt, and friend.
Left to cherish her memory are her devoted partner, Van Taylor; daughter, Michelle Pauley (Kevin) of Mechanicsville, VA; grandchildren, Morgan, Adam, and Abigail; siblings, Thomas Hurst (Ruth) of Mullica Hill, NJ, Richard Hurst (Susan) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Kathy Massimino (Daniel) of Swedesboro, NJ, Patricia Esposito (Charles) of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Kevin Hurst (Teresa) of Clayton, NJ; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 11 am to 1 pm on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 412 S Washington Hwy., Ashland, VA 23005. A memorial service will follow at 2 pm at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 8050 St. Pauls's Church Rd, Hanover, VA 23069.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Linda's memory to the American Heart Association.
