I graduated 1981 and I loved Ms. Stephens. I went into the bookstore almost every day -half the time just to see her. Relentless energy and she made a point to know the students personally. My first stop coming back for reunions was to run by the bookstore before it closed so I could catch her. She was one of my family faces of R-MC...always. forever.

I am a graduate of Randolph Macon College ('89).  I was so very lucky to have played for Hugh Stephens in the RMC Baseball Program.  I came to know Kathryn during that time.  She was such a positive presence for all of us - never missing a game and always being our #1 supporter.  

I was honored and touched when Kathryn asked me to be one of the speakers at the dedication of Hugh Stephens Field back in 1994.  I will never forget Kathryn and what she has done for the College, for Randolph Macon Baseball, and for me personally.  We are all indebted to her and to our Coach.
