His legacy will live on through his unconditional love, his giving spirit and always seeing the bright side of a tough situation.
Jack, as he was lovingly known to his family and friends, was born April 4, 1932, in Dunellen, NJ to John and Celeste Morin. He spent most of his early years in Dunellen and also lived in Piscataway NJ, Warren, VT and for the past 2+ decades, he resided in Glen Allen Virginia.
Jack spent 4 years in the US Navy and was honorably discharged on February 28, 1955. Not long after, he started working at Union Carbide (DOW Chemical) where he ultimately retired 45 years later. During that time at Union Carbide (Dow Chemical), he met the love of his life, Rose Scrubb, and was married for 41 years before his homegoing. With this unity of marriage, he gained 6 children, Darrell (deceased), Bryan, Robin (deceased), Walter, Illora, and Evelyn whom he loved dearly. In his spare time, he loved woodworking and made everything from step stools to toy chests to rocking chairs. He was also known by all of his grandchildren as the one who could fix everything.
Jack is survived by his wife, Rose Morin; brother, Tom Beck (Inga); his nephews, Robert Lauck (Susan) & TJ Beck; his nieces, Linda Beck & Cindy Beck-Devo (Tom-Deceased); his stepchildren, Bryan Scrubb (Anne Maurice), Walter Scrubb, Illora Scrubb Reynolds, Evelyn Scrubb Parrilla (Anthony); his step-grandchildren, Regina Reynolds, Reginald Reynolds J.R., Darnelle Torres, Julia Scrubb, Jaren Scrubb, Garrett Parrilla, Cameryn Parrilla; great step grandchildren, Alexys Chapman-Reynolds, Aleem Wison, Akari Evans, Zyaire Torres, Danielle Torres, David Torres; and a host of loving friends. Jack was preceded in death by his stepson Darrell Scrubb and stepdaughter Robin Scrubb. He will be missed and his kind-hearted spirit will live on through his memory and will never be forgotten.
