John Samuel Jones

JONES, John Samuel, 79, of Beaverdam, VA went to be with the Lord on March 15, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents Adele and Carlton Jones; brother-in-law, Dr. Roy Wyatt; nephew, Michael Wyatt, and niece, Kathryn Mee. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 60 years, Ann Wyatt Jones; son, Roy Carlton Jones (Anna), of Hagerstown, MD; daughter, Lisa Jones Baldyga (John); two granddaughters, Heather Jones Hickman (Ben) and Amanda Jones Culbertson (Justin); two grandsons, Jason Wyatt Baldyga and Ryan James Baldyga; three great-grandchildren, Jack Wyatt Culbertson, Crispin Brady Culbertson, and Hazel Grace Hickman; brother, Carlton Gray Jones Jr. (Rosemary); sister-in-law, Joyce Cope Wyatt; nephew, David Mee (Bonnie); niece, Debbi Christinck (Ralph) and many cousins and friends. Johnny retired from Philip Morris USA with 35 years of service in the Safety, Health, and Environmental Department. He was a member of Cool Spring Baptist Church serving as deacon, Sunday School leader, and RA counselor. He was currently a member of Mt Olivet Baptist Church in Beaverdam. He served in the Air Force with 4 years active duty and 2 years in the reserves. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 15583 Coatesville Rd Beaverdam, VA 23015 at 11am, the family will receive friends an hour prior to service at church. Interment will be held in Forest Lawn Cemetery at 3pm.
