John E. Goodman, Sr. (Age 65), of Montpelier, VA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 26, 2023. He was the loving father of Renee Goodman, Terry Brown (John), Stephen Farmer (Kara) and John E. Goodman, Jr., (Angela); cherished grandfather of Candace Brown (Tommy), Makayla Wall, Melody Wall and McKinnly Wall. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mamie Josephine Goodman and William T. Goodman, Sr., and sons, Alex Hunter Goodman and Andrew Trey Goodman.
John was a lifelong master electrician for the IBEW 666 union. He held great pride in his work and his business. John took an entrepreneurial route with the creation of Goodman Specialty Services, Inc., a union electric shop that fostered diligence and precision. After closing the business, he moved to CBRE as a building tech. He loved his job and instilled the values of hard work into anyone he spoke with.
