Jessie Honeycutt Meredith

Jessie Honeycutt Meredith, 91, of Glen Allen, passed away Monday, May 2, 2016. She was born in Mt. Pleasant N.C., the youngest of ten children. Jessie worked for A.H. Robins for 30 years, she volunteered at Henrico Doctors Hospital-Forest for 15 years, where she crocheted many of the baby hats for newborns. She was a long time member of Glen Allen Baptist, and current member of Lakeside United Methodist. Jessie was a supporter of life long education and believed if you educate a man, you educated one person; if you educate a woman, you educate a family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Minor Mason Meredith; and son, Minor Mason (Bud) Meredith II. She is survived by her daughter, Ann Meredith Gareau (Paul); grandchildren, Jason Gareau (Kate), Jamie Meredith, Michael Meredith, Steven Meredith (Sheena), Jennifer Meredith; great grandchildren, Stella, Mirabelle and Alex Gareau, Liam and Nina Meredith, and Madison Hodges. A funeral service will be held Friday, May 6, 2016 at 1pm at Nelsen Funeral Home Ashland, with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery.
