Helen "Teeta" Louis Lane Michael Sneed

Helen “Teeta” Lane Michael Sneed, 91, of Ruther Glen (formerly of Ashland), entered eternal rest on Friday, March 10, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jenny and Louis Lane; first husband, Arthur Michael; second husband, Joe Sneed; siblings, Mildred, Edith, Alfred, Sam; and grandsons, Joel Michael, Stephen Marshall. Helen enjoyed living on the York River. She had a vast collection of lighthouses and roosters. Helen loved to shop and enjoyed listening and dancing to bluegrass and country music. She also had quite a soft spot for animals, especially her Yorkie, Jojo. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Carolyn Greene (Junie), Kay Jones (Roger), Jerry Michael (Shirley), Steve Michael (Susie); 14 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, Va. 23005.
