George Frederick Brown, 92, of Doswell, passed away on February 1, 2018. He was the son of the late Otis Dulin Brown and Dollie Virgie Brown. George was preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph Alfred Brown and Roy Miller Brown. He worked as a mechanic and especially enjoyed working on tractors. George is survived by his wife of 51 years, Jeanette Seay Brown, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 2pm at Nelsen Funeral Home & Crematory - Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Highway, Ashland, VA 23005, where the family will receive friends two hours prior to service. Rev. Wade Stanley and Rev. Rick Dill will be officiating Mr. Brown's service. Interment will follow in Kings Chapel Presbyterian Church, Doswell, VA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ashland Church of God, Bethpage Christian Church, and Kings Chapel Presbyterian Church.
