Thompson, Emily Evelyn, 74, of Montpelier, VA, passed away on January 15, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Thompson and her brothers, Jim, George, and Ronnie Whitman. She is survived by her children, Janet Brooks (Paul Scheetz), Lisa Jordan Allen, and John C. Thompson III; grandchildren, Mason and Mathew Brooks, Brandon and Travis Allen; siblings, Jerry Whitman, Jackie Lamp, and Patricia Weirick; sister-in-law, Evelyn Emery; brother-in-law, Fred Thompson (Sandy); Tommy Allen, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at the Nelsen Funeral Home, Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, VA 23005, where a service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, January 21, 2015. Interment will be at Roselawn Memory Gardens.
