ADKINS, Clarence Wenoka, 82, of Doswell, went to be with the Lord on May 16, 2019. Clarence was the son of the late Olander and Lillian Adkins. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Adolf Adkins and Elmer Adkins. Clarence spent 30 years working at Smurf and Stone as a Machine Operator. Clarence was a Deacon and member of Taylorsville Baptist Church, a member of the Chickahominy Tribe, and a member of Doswell Ruritan Club. Clarence is survived by his wife of 22 years, Thelma Adkins; children, James (Robin), Cheryl (Kevin), Wes (Jennifer), Rodney (Ivy), Kelly (Jimmy); grandson, J.W. Adkins; 9 step-grandchildren; 4 great step-grandchildren; Siblings, Rosalee Adkins, Reba Wynn (Robert), Iona Tomlinson (Jerry), and Janice Croucher; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Monday, May 20, 2019 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 412 S. Washington Hwy, Ashland. A Funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at Taylorsville Baptist Church in Doswell.
