He was born March 4, 1947, in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late Raymond and Eileen (Yonkofski) Frazier. He was a graduate of Mansfield Senior High School and enlisted in the US Air Force. After his discharge, he became a police office in Shreveport, Louisiana. Ron then moved to Mansfield and retired as a Lieutenant with the Mansfield Police Department. After retirement, he became a farmer and worked part-time as a valet at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital. In his free time, Ron enjoyed fishing, playing golf and mowing his yard. He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. Most of all, Ron enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Barbara (Kopcial) Frazier; sons, R. Jeff (Heather) Frazier, Andrew (Emily) Frazier and Joe (Tanner) Frazier; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters, Barb Bishop, Marie Brown and Carol Frazier; and his loyal companion, Tubby.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Silas Frazier.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 29, 2024, at Wappner Funeral Directors-Ashland, 308 Claremont Avenue, Ashland. A memorial service will follow at 12:00 p.m.
