Marilyn Jean Johnson

Marilyn Jean Johnson, 94 years old, of Ashland, passed away on July 9, 2024 at Samaritan Hospital, Ashland. She was born and raised in Mount Vernon, Ohio on February 11, 1930 to the late Sarah (White) and Clare Lepley.

She enjoyed reading and journaling and found joy in gardening and working in her flower beds and pruning her flower pots. Jean regularly attended her grandchildren’s sporting events and recently became an Ashland University Women’s Basketball fan.

Jean is survived by her children, Stephen Johnson, Jill (John Walters) Johnson and Julie (Steve) Uhler; grandchildren, Cody Uhler and Carrie Uhler; family friend Dwight Walker; close friends, Ann Petrovic and Delia Reynolds; and many cherished family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Donas Johnson, her parents and brother, Paul Lepley.

No services will be held. Wappner Funeral Directors – Ashland, is honored to serve the family. Memorial contributions may be made to Nationwide Children’s Hospital of Columbus, OH.
