A homemaker, Helen was a great mother and attended every program and event of her children’s that she was able to. She has touched many lives and was the babysitter for the neighborhood. Helen had a heart of gold and empathy for everyone helping in any way she could. She was the “card sender” of the family.
Helen was a member of Park Street Brethren Church where she was a Sunday School teacher and was involved in MOPS. A very faithful person, Helen contributed to many Missionaries and was an older person companion to the elderly.
She is survived by her children, Doris Pletcher, Rose Martin, Nancy (Robert) Flowers, Bill (Linda) McClellan and Ruth (Doy) Lecroy; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; her siblings, John (Sharon) Albro, James Albro and Shirley McClain.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph E. McClellan; a daughter, Betty Rochowiak; two grandsons, Bobby and John Geldien; a great grandson, Bradley Boyer; and two sisters, Mary Snider and Alice Maglott.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at Wappner Funeral Directors – Ashland, 308 Claremont Avenue, Ashland conducted by Chaplain Chad Berry. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
