Virginia E. Harmon Lefler

Virginia E. Harmon Lefler, age 105, of Arnold, MO passed away on Thursday September 14, 2017. Virginia was born August 30, 1912 in Cherryville, Missouri to Florence Harmon and Emerson Eldridge Harmon.

Virginia is survived by; son Leon Wayne (Shiriey) Lefler; son Lionel Eugene (Connie) Lefler; son Franklin Paul (Lori) Lefler; and son Michael Clyde Lefler; brother Roy Harmon; grandson David Lefler, grandson John Lefler, granddaughter Theresa Duing, granddaughter Jena Harmon, grandson Josh Lefler, grandson Chad (Amy) Lefler, granddaughter Carri (Dale) Perstrope, granddaughter Chera (Bryce) Tinker, grandson Bo (Claudia) Cai and granddaughter Charlotte Wang. Dear Great Grandmother of Mikey, Bryson, Kylie, Caili, Carson, Camden, Marlie, Nolan, Caden, Isabella, Madison, Michaela, Catherine, Jose, Gracie, Yolanda, Lauren and Kenny and Richard Cai.

Virginia was a special friend of Helen, Lois, Margie and Victoria.

Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Clyde William Lefler; daughter-in-law Connie Lefler; father Emerson Eldridge Harmon and mother Florence Harmon; brother Louis Harmon; sister Velta Harmon; sister Esther Harmon and sister Isabella Harmon.

Virginia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, teacher and homemaker. She found her passion for teaching a one room school house. She dearly treasured the gift of her family and could always find room for one more at the table as the family grew. A charter member for over 57 years at First Baptist Church of Oakville, her faith was most important to her beyond family and teaching. She had an abiding faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.

A visitation for Virginia will be held Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Oakville, 6741 Telegraph Road, Oakville, Missouri 63129. A funeral service will occur Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 12:00 PM, 6741 Telegraph Road, Oakville, Missouri 63129. A burial will occur Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 1:30 PM at Shepherd Hills Cemetery, 1925 Old Highway M, Barnhart, MO 63012.
