She was born in Phil Campbell, AL to the late Thomas and Claudia (nee Oliver) Pounders; beloved wife of James Van Horn; loving mother of Greg (Svetlana) Van Horn and Chris Van Horn; loving grandmother of Lauren, Braylee, Tony and Olga; great grandmother of Emma, Sam, Andrew, Madison and Nina; dear sister of Sally Williams, Louise Walker and the late Pauline, Naomia, Marveline, Audrey, Dee, Ted, Arnold and Johnny; dear aunt and friend to many.
A visitation for Vergie will be held Thursday, October 31, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd, Arnold, MO 63010.
