Susan Marie Pashia

Susan Marie Pashia, age 71, of Owensville, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2025. She was born in St. Louis, MO on September 25,1953 to Virginia and the late Robert Smith of Arnold, MO; beloved wife of Dennis Pashia; loving mother of Christine (Steve) Ferris of Kansas City, MO; dear sister of Stephen (Shari) Smith of Eureka, MO; dear aunt and friend to many.

Susan graduated from Fox High School in 1972. She earned her BS-Education in 1976 from the University of Missouri, Columbia. After college Susan worked in both education and the private sector. After moving to Owensville she taught Marketing at Gasconade County RII from 1992 to 1998. During that time she wrote several grants for computer labs and started teaching students and staff how to use them for both learning and teaching. She was promoted to Technology Director in 1998 and created an exceptional technology network and program for both students and Staff. Susan retired after a successful and rewarding career.

She loved visiting National Parks and historic sites, gardening, learning new crafts and watching football. Most of all she loved family and hosting gatherings for holidays and other occasions going the extra mile to make them memorable.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday April 22,2025 from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon at the Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home 1081 Jeffco Blvd. Arnold, MO. A Celebration of Life service will be celebrated Tuesday April 22,2025 12:00 noon in the funeral home chapel. Service will conclude at the funeral home. Memorial donations in Susan's Honor may be made to the American Cancer Society.
