Katherine F. Gray

Katherine F. Gray, age 91, of AuGres, Michigan, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2025, at her home surrounded by family. Katy was born on December 16, 1933, to the late Waldon and Katherine (Loenhardt) Fickle, in St. Louis, Missouri.

Katy was a lifelong resident of St. Louis, Missouri. Following her high school graduation, she went on to obtain a Master's Degree in Education. She continued her passion and became a school teacher in the St. Louis School District, an occupation she held for 35 years. Katy married the love of her life, Bob Gray in 1956, and the two spent the next 45 years making endless memories and raising a family together. In 2021, she moved up to AuGres, Michigan to be closer to her family. Some of Katy's favorite hobbies consisted of attending church, reading exercising, traveling, volunteering, sewing, quilting and spending quality time with her family. Katy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend, and she will be missed dearly by many.

Katy is survived by her children, Ronald (Traci) Gray; her grandchildren, Jesse Gray and Kassidy Gray; her great grandchildren, Greyson and Clara; her brother, Gilbert Fickle; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Waldon and Katherine, Katy is preceded in death by her husband, Bob Gray; son , Jonathon Gray; brother, Richard Fickle; and her grandson, RJ Gray.

Memorial service will be celebrated on Friday April 11, 2025, 11:00 am at the Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home 1081 Jeffco Blvd. Arnold, MO. Interment Shepherd Hills Cemetery.
