Earl W. Whitehead of Arnold, Missouri Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at the age of 87. Beloved husband for 66 years of Myrtle L. Whitehead (nee Vogel). Loving father of Connie (Donald) Swaller, Linda (Stephen) Raynor, John (Sandra) Whitehead and Tom (Valerie) Whitehead. Dearest grandfather of Tammy (Patrick) Gallagher, Terri Swaller, Timothy (Carolyn) Swaller, Stephen (Tansy) Raynor, Jr., Sherry (Jeff) Covington, Stacy (Blaine) Burgess, John (Sue) Whitehead, Jr., Jim (Shelly) Whitehead, Kristi (Luke) Moore, David Whitehead and Kevin Whitehead and great grandfather of 19. Dear brother of Opal (the late Rudolph "Red") Nelson and the late Marcella (Frank) Bauman, Thelma (Oscar) Robertson, James Whitehead and Lester (Jeanette) Whitehead. Our dear brother-in-law, uncle, great uncle, cousin and dear friend to many.

Earl served our nation in the United States Coast Guard during WWII, member of Becker-Meyer-Becker VFW Post 2593 and a bus driver for the Fox C-6 School District for 22 years.

Funeral from Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd., Arnold, Missouri on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. then to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for 11:00 a.m. Mass. Interment Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Visitation Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Should friends desire, contributions to St. Anthony’s Hospice or Masses appreciated.
