ARNOLD, MO. — David L Trent, 75, Arnold, was called home to be with our Lord Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at Mercy South Hospital, St. Louis County, MO. David was born in Henderson, KY on 26 November 1946.
David is a retired Army Sergeant First Class, serving 20 plus years in the Army. After retiring from the Army, he worked at Scott Air Force Base, IL 30 years, with his last position as a Security Manager. When David finally retired, he had spent 50 plus years in Federal Service serving his country and was very proud of his service. His hobbies were in his early years working on cars and in his later years’ family genealogy. David took pride in whatever he did, he was a perfectionist in his work and in his hobbies.
David is the son of Henry L Trent and Dorothy E. Robertson/Gardner Trent. Grandson of Mose R. and Millie Mae (Minton) Trent and Walker L. Robertson and Marie G. Gardner. He was preceded in death by both his parents, all four grandparents and his step grandfather Thomas S. Long who was the only grandparent he ever knew. One sister Susan Doretha Trent Feldmann, sister-in-law Charlene (Greg) Trent, brother-in-law Sam Roe.
David is survived by his wife of 40 years Saim of Arnold, MO son, David L Trent Jr. Cedar Hill, MO, daughters Amy Loehr, Olympia, WA and Kimberly Campbell, NM. Six brothers, Richard H. (Patricia) Trent of Norfolk, VA, Gregory A. Trent of St. Louis, MO, Stephen J. (Sandra) Trent of Henderson, KY, Timothy J. (Debra) Trent of Bellevue, NE, Jeffrey P. (Joy) Trent of Des Arc, MO, and Christopher P. (Carrie Witt) Trent of Arnold, MO; three sisters, Janice M. Roe of Springfield, MO, Beverly J. (Don) Thornsberry of Arnold, MO, Teresa E. (Paul) Miller of St. Louis, MO, and Brother-in-law Mark Feldmann of Darden Prairie, MO.
Grandsons; Christopher Perry, Carson Lee, and granddaughters; Lilyan, Alexia and Alexis Jordan, and many cousins, nieces and nephews scattered around the country.
Funeral at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd, Arnold, MO., Visitation Wednesday, August 24, 2022, from 4 pm to 8 p.m. and on Thursday, August 25, 2022, at 11 a.m. until service time. Service will be officiated by Brother Corey Hedge. Military Full Honors at 12:30 pm and interment at Jefferson Barracks Veterans Cemetery, St. Louis County, MO.
