Chase Preston Marriott, age 17, returned to his Heavenly Home on March 29, 2025. Chase was born May 10, 2007 in St. Louis, MO to Lucas Moe & Holly (nee Counterman) Marriott and was the oldest of six children. Chase lived his first 8 years in Imperial and Festus, MO. When he was 8 years old, the family moved to Gilbert, AZ, where they lived until 2019, when they returned to Imperial, MO.
Being precocious and full of energy at all times, Chase never failed to amaze his parents and grandparents with all he continuously was learning and wanting to know. One of his grandmothers was sure he would be running the Pentagon one day due to his depth of knowledge of world leaders and geography, nuclear arsenals, political factions and more. Chase loved maps. He was also well versed in the NBA and the NFL, knowing players, teams, and coaches along with all of their statistics, which he loved discussing at any time. Simply put, Chase loved learning.
From an early age, Chase showed his love for his Father in Heaven and Savior. He happily attended church and very much valued his participation there, be it Missouri or Arizona. He always desired to be good and faithful.
Chase was a valued employee at McDonald's and regularly expressed pride in Missouri roots, holding a strong affinity for Arizona as well. He is much loved by the people wherever he has been.
Chase has joined his much loved maternal grandmother Mimi, aka Marian Buck, in Heaven. He is survived by his maternal great grandmother-Vera Martin, paternal great grandfather-James Marriott, maternal grandfather-Dennis Buck, paternal grandparents-Kelly & Paige Mattice and Mike & Penny Marriott; parents Lucas Moe & Holly (nee Counterman) Marriott; brothers Drew Carson Marriott, Isaac Sloan Marriott, Wade Liam Marriott, Beckham Dean Marriott, and sister Avery Jade Marriot; uncle Joshua (Tara) Marriott; cousins JJ, Jace, Jagger, & Jensen; aunt Echo (Conor) Hovland; cousins Hudson, Sawyer, and Theodore; uncle Troy (Kerry) Morton; cousin Evie; Aunt Jessy (Bobby) Banner; cousins Kegan & Kolter, Aunt Crystal Marriott; cousins Caidence (William) and Rhainie and Aunt Tiffany (Jake) Williams; cousins Kyra & Kota (Curtis & Trevor) Falter. among many other family members and friends.
Chase was a great big brother, always loving and vigilant over each of his siblings. He really went the extra mile with his brother, Drew, who requires much from his parents and family.
In recent years, Chase dedicated time to learning how to cook, which was not only enjoyed by the entire family but used it to help him hone his handsome physique. He was a foodie who loved trying new things and going to nice, new, sit down and be served restaurants. Admirably, he dedicated himself to an effective regiment of diet and exercise to achieve his goals. Chase loved traveling, whether it be beaches, museums, amusement parks, ballgames, or just good old family get togethers and he was ready to go at any time and was indeed fun to take and be with. He took organization to a new level, and his bedroom and closet were a work of perfection to behold.
We'll be keeping you close to our hearts, Chase. We're positive your Great Grandma Marriott met you at the gates with the biggest hug ever!
