Bernice J. Niemeyer

Bernice Jane Niemeyer of Arnold, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at the age of 85. Beloved wife of 57 years to late husband Lester Niemeyer. Loving mother of Elden (Taryn) Niemeyer, Ellerd (Cindy) Niemeyer, and Elaine (Dale) Brouk. Dearest grandmother of Brandy (Pat) Sheehan, Chelsey (Kyle) Meyer, Cameron and Daniel Niemeyer, Taylor (Brad) Smith and Shannon Brouk. A dear cousin and friend to many.

Bernice was a homemaker and lifelong farmer in Arnold, Missouri and Columbia, Illinois. She enjoyed being a 4th generation Soulard Farmers’ Market vendor for over seventy years alongside her family. Bernice was a passionate member of St. John’s Lutheran Church’s Ladies’ Aid, Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, Altar Guild, and Quilters as well as a county election judge.

A private funeral service was held at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home and she was laid to rest at St. John’s Lutheran Church Cemetery on April 3, 2020.
