Oh Ms. Goffin, we were so saddened to hear of your passing.  My daughter skipped joyfully to find you today - she's asked and asked to come see you.  She's asked for you over the years, as you have meant so very much to her.  You were such an exemplary teacher in every regard.  She has so many touching memories of your class - from your gentle nature to your willingness to bring in every creature under the sun and gently teach the students how to love them.  My daughter has pictures of ossity that she still has posted on her wall.  That precious year was a hallmark for us.  We are so deeply saddened and wishing your whole family peace.  Such a great spirit must have been needed in Heaven.  She will always be remembered as my daughter's favorite teacher.  What a pleasure it was to know you.

Dear, dear Terri:  I am so grateful that we were able to have a couple of long, long chats amidst the busy days at the end of the school year.  I will miss the many times you dropped in to let me know which students would be spending their recess with me to finish work, or process a problem.  At these times we would start talking and realize that not only did you not eat your lunch, but it was time to gather up your little ones to return to class.  We had so many good talks about life and also about death and I have no doubt that you are busy in Heaven as I write this.  My prayers for your whole family as they do the hard work that is grief. Im very sorry to hear about Terri's passing. One of my sons was in her class this past year and he loved going to school everyday because she made school so fun for her class. She truly loved all of her students and I know they will all miss her very much!

We loved as friends and fought as sisters do, but I think it is the same with most sisters growing up together. Although we never met, I can see the family resemblance in Terri's face.  I was privileged to work with Joe Jr and Joe III at Carnation Dairies for several years....good guys.  My sympathy to all.

Miss Goffin,
I new you were sweet and kind the first day I met you. My little boy Jeremy has a special place in his heart for you and you will always be remembered. Of course he doesn't quite understand everything yet but you have guided my little boy this year in your class. I remember just being there at the school on field day and seeing for myself how much your class listens and loves you. First grade is the most important step in our childrens lives. I honestly and truely will miss you and your passion for what you have contributed to my son Jeremy. My deepest condolences to all of your family.

Terri was a talented and well-loved teacher. It was my privilege to have known and worked with her. She will be missed. My sympathies to her family.
