Arlington’s Ted Miller passed away October 18, 2013. Born Thaddeus John Mlynarek, Jr., on October 3, 1923, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Ted moved to Arlington in 1998. After serving in the United States Marine Corps on a fire crew stationed in Pearl Harbor during World War II (1941 to 1945), and over thirty years working for the Wisconsin Electric Power Company, Ted retired and moved with his wife, Jean (nee Heller) to the Seattle area. Ted enjoyed gardening, reading, cars, cooking and loved watching baseball on TV. Ted is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Jean, and his children, Susan DeFrancesco, John Miller, Nancy Emons, granddaughter Patricia Miller, and their extended families. Ted is also survived by his sister, Virginia Wasielewski, his brother, Conrad Miller, and his sister-in-law, Marianne Kleczka. Ted was a lifetime member of the American Legion. A viewing will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 23rd at Weller’s Funeral Home 327 N. MacLeod Ave, Arlington, WA. A graveside service at Arlington Cemetery will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 24th. Contributions to veteran’s charities are preferred in lieu of other remembrances.
