Sidney Ray Maydew

Sidney R. Maydew, 69, passed away March 17, 2012 at his home in Marysville, WA. He was born October 19, 1942 to Rex and Mae Maydew in Smith Center, KS. He spent his career as a salesman, specializing in heavy duty truck parts, retiring in 2010. Sid’s passion was his grandchildren, following them in all their sports activities, especially at softball games. He was a very caring, strong, faithful, outgoing, loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Preceding him in death was his parents and brother Dallas Maydew. Sidney is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Sandy Maydew of Marysville; children, Sam (Alexis) Maydew of Los Angeles, CA, Samantha (Aaron) Zachry of Marysville; siblings, Duane (Peggy) Maydew of California, Ginger Maydew of Bellevue, WA; grandchildren, Casey, Sydney, Boaz, Brooklyn, Cassius, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. A celebration of Sid’s life will be held Wednesday, March 21, 2012, 11:00 a.m. at the Weller Funeral Home, 327 N. MacLeod Ave., Arlington, WA.
