Sharon Yvonne Schmelzle (Earnheart), 72 of Marysville, WA passed away peacefully at her home, with family by her side on May 4, 2010 after courageously fighting a lifelong struggle with Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI). Sharon was born in Arlington, WA on March 6, 1938 to loving parents C. Earl Earnheart and Vivian I. Roth. Sharon married Richard N. Schmelzle on May 23, 1959 and together raised two devoted daughters Mrs. Debe (Tom) Grinnell of Marysville, Washington and Dawn Gribble of Roy, Utah. Sharon grew up in the Arlington/Marysville community and was an active participant in many leadership activities in school, including playing the clarinet in the high school band. Once married, traveled the globe (courtesy of the Air Force) and experienced amazing life events during their travels. Sharon was a prolific volunteer… She was a girl scout leader, NCO volunteer coordinator, caregiver but nothing more important to her was being a mother and homemaker. Sharon was most proud of her four grandchildren whom she was always referencing. Bringing her constant joy is Tamieka Schmelzle-Grinnell, Benjamin Grinnell, Sarah Gribble and Karli Gribble. Family meant the world to Sharon, as at every opportunity she tried to bring her extended family together. Sharon also leaves behind her beloved siblings: Bryce (Jeri) Earnheart, Jim (Val) Roth, Terry (Cheryl) Earnheart, Lynda (Keith) Southard and Don (Beth) Roth. Sharon always took to heart the responsibility of family and took seriously her role as daughter, sister, niece, mother, aunt, wife, grandmother and loyal devoted friend. All who met Sharon knew in an instance that family was paramount to her. Service will be Saturday, May 22, 2010, 1:00 pm at Wellers Funeral Home, 327 N. MacLeod Ave., Arlington, WA, Dennis Niva, officiating. Interment will be at Arlington Cemetery.
