Samantha “Sammie” Mae Weldon, 17 years old of Arlington, WA passed away in a tragic fatal car accident on Sunday, February 14, 2016. Sammie attended ECAP preschool through 12th grade at the Arlington School District and attended the Sno-isle Skill Center where she earned ASE student certification in automobile heating and air conditioning. Sammie would be graduating this year and would be attending Everett Community College in the fall for nursing. Sammie was a member of National Technical Honor Society, Associated Student Body (ASB) Secretary at Sno-isle skill center 2014-2015, ASB Representative for Automotive class 2014-2015, earned ASB Student of the year for Automotive Technology 2014-2015, and received many other academic awards throughout her school career. Sammie was very active in cheerleading with A.Y.C./A.Y.F.A., volley ball, and track and field. Sammie was a very bright, intelligent, beautiful, fun-loving free spirit, sweet but full of piss and vinegar. Sammie was very adored and loved by her mother, Teresa A. Coyne and everyone that she came into contact with. She touched so many people with her smile, warm heartedness, and especially her sassiness. Sammie told it “how it was” in her eyes. An awesome daughter, granddaughter, niece, and friend to many. She is survived by her parents Teresa and Shane Coyne of Stanwood WA. Her Father, John of Huntsville, Al, and Step-mother Charity of Franklin, VA , her older sister Lauren Sheehy and two brothers Patrick and Stockton Sheehy. Her aunt Katie and husband Butch of Grass Lake MI, and their three children, Her Aunt Kelli and Husband Jose of Philadelphia, PA and their three children, and aunt Teresa of Kansas City KS. As well as her Grandfather John of Jackson, MI. Her Grandmother Teresa passed away in 2012. She is survived by her grandmother Linda Weldon, her six aunts and uncles, Robert Weldon and wife Brenda of Arlington, WA and their three children, Rita Friend and husband Kenneth of Leonardtown, MD and their three daughters, Buddy Daniely and husband Miles of Arlington, WA and their four children, Tammie Voyles of Haiku, HI and her three children, Sherri Weldon of Arlington, WA and her three boys, and Jeremy Weldon and wife Brittany of Arlington, WA and their seven children, and Kelly York of Ferndale, WA and her two daughters. She was preceded in death by her grandfather Noel Steven Weldon whom she adored and enjoyed sharing selfies, and her aunt Britney Weldon. Sammie and her grandfather were best friends and they are now all together in heaven. We love you Sammie to the moon and back.
A celebration of Sammie’s life will be held Monday, February 22, 2016 at 6:00 PM at Weller Funeral Home, Arlington.
