When our son passed away in 2009 Marie rushed to my side and gave me such comfort.  She was the only one from Holy Cross that reached out to me.  Will forever treasure her kindness and loving words.

Jesse and Marie Mosses were my neighbors in Granite Falls. I had purchased the home right next door in 2003. You know how some people leave a footprint in your heart, well that was what this wonderful couple were to me. They told me they lived on a farm, can't remember where, but I want to say it was Kansas. They had moved to be closer to their son David, whom I meet a few times. I was a single mom with two boys (Cody 13 and Seth 10). Jesse used to love to fix the boys bike chains or show them guy stuff. He walked me through their home showing me the pictures they had up. Marie was so beautiful in her white nurse uniform! Jesse was so in love with her, even after all the years they had together. They told me how they met in WWII; their life was like a romance movie. Marie, at the time was volunteering at the Red cross, still loving to help people. It wasn't too much later that Jesse had passed. I went to his funeral; he had once told me that he didn't want such a fuss, but he sure got one. He always made me laugh. 
I went to check in with Marie after I had gotten back from a long deployment (Air Force), to find that she had moved. I figured she must have moved in with David. When I moved to Arlington in 2014, I visited Jesse's grave often. I had told Olivia (my AF retirement surprise, as she is 20 yrs younger than my oldest, my youngest son now in the AF) a few years ago all about Jesse and Marie. Today on Memorial day, I took my 7 year old daughter and her best friend to pay our respects to Jesse and his service he gave to our country, as we did every Memorial Day. This year was a particularly sad year to see Marie laying peacefully next to her beloved husband. This year, we paid our respect to both Jesse and Marie Moses who gave so much to not only our country, but our community and everyone they touched. 
To David and everyone they touched, I am sorry for your loss! Heaven has two beautiful souls and we are all so lucky to have them as guardian angels.

Marie was such a wonderful friend to me, sharing her faith & love through her thoughtful words and actions! I will always treasure the times we spent together at her home in Mt. Angel, OR! She helped me to reconnect with my faith on a deeper level. We talked of everything from tea to sewing! I love you Marie and will see you one day again ♥️

Marie was a rock of faith, devotion and blessing.  Her stories live on in all of us who knew her, were nourished by her, helped by her, loved by her.
You live on in our memory and in all good works that you supported throughout your life.

Marie has always been there to help everyone in our community.  She has been there when our family needed support when our son Joey was robbed & killed on his way home from work. She was there with us when my wife’s mother Gladys passed away.  
She was a WONDERFUL woman & I know that she is receiving the many rewards in Heaven that she did in Jesus Christ’s name here on earth.  
We should all live by Marie’s example.  God Bless you Marie, until we meet again. 

I came to say goodbye to you this afternoon.  I have the memories of our many conversations  over the years.  You leave behind other servants of the Lord, some like me, you trained.  I don't believe I will ever again meet such a selfless  person.  I will miss you Marie.

I had the blessing of meeting Marie when she was a parishioner at St Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Bothell. We crossed paths in the Apostleship of the Cross for about a year before she moved to Mt Angel. She was a deeply spiritual woman, an inspiration to many of us for her dedication and service to the church, Priests and Seminarians. She has been in our prayers since we heard she wasn't doing well. Condolences and prayers go out to the family and friends that mourn her loss. 
May the Lord grant her eternal rest.
