Judith Ann Olson was born on March 21, 1938 in Portland, Oregon. She passed away on March 1, 2020 in Arlington, Washington. She grew up in Portland, Oregon and settled in Arlington, Washington with her children where she lived for over 50 years. She sold Avon and also loved to shop from Avon. Avon was in our family for a very long time. The best part was sitting at the table with her and circling things in the book that we wanted and testing all of the samples that she got. She retired from Cascade Surveying and she spent her time with the love of her life, Don, playing cards (and a lot of them too), travelling in their motor home and spending time with family.
Mom was so full of life, happiness and laughter. She treasured her family, friends and furry friends dearly. She especially treasured family time and family get-togethers for birthdays going out to dinner and getting her usual chicken strips and fries or sometimes fish and chips. She ordered her diet Pepsi with very little ice (emphasis on the little ice). She was always around for her grandchildren’s sporting events and she was their number one fan. When she was younger, she loved to go out dancing at the American Legion in downtown Arlington with Don, go roller-skating with her grandchildren and participated in the local bowling league at Melody Lanes in Arlington. She was really good too! Judy enjoyed music, she played the accordion and piano for her children when they were little.
Most recently, she absolutely enjoyed watching her great-grandchildren play and loving on her fur-babies. Judy was an amazing momma, grandma and grammi. Judy always made sure that everyone around her was happy and always ready to help with anything. She had a heart of gold and touched countless people’s lives. She is preceded in death by her son: Allan “Butch” Bergley (March 13, 2006), her husband: Donald (July 21, 2006), her parents: Walter and Miriam Lilijeblad, Sister: June Burk, Niece: Pam Lee and Nephew: Mike Lee. She leaves behind her children; Sandy(Bill), Lori(Merrill), Bob(Brandi), 16 grandkids, 5 great-grandkids, 14 grand-dogs and 3 cats and her special dog “Annie” who is now fourteen. She will be forever in our hearts.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, 11:00am, March 7, 2020 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church 615 E Highland Dr Arlington with a potluck to follow.
