Gary was born on January 1, 1932 to Carl and Dorothy Lindquist in Arlington, WA where he lived and raised his family. He was in the military with the Navy serving in the Korean War and was always a very patriotic and a proud American. Gary was a gentle spirit, loved to help others and was everyone's friend. He had several vocations but retired from the Culvert plant after 26 years. Gary took pride in the details, had a strong work ethic and was a great example in all that he did.
Gary loved the Lord, served and walked with Him for many years, being a loyal member at Mt. View Assembly of God. He had many friends and was such a testimony of his faith during his years of health issues and will be missed greatly.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Kathy; his daughters, Carla Lindquist Smith (Doug),Vickie Lindquist (Roy); stepchildren, Diana Holland of Stanwood, WA and Dana Holland (Diana Rene) of Arlington. He also leaves his six grandchildren, Maloree McCulla (Sheahan), Michael Caldwell, Keller Holland, Ryley Caldwell, Tessa Holland, and Bailee Holland; three special great-grandsons, Dezmin McCulla, Jakaree Caldwell and Titus McCulla, all whom he loved so very much. His love of family held a very special place in his heart. Gary is also survived by his sisters, Sharon Poindexter, Marie Lantz (George) and Carmel Soule (Jim).
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Lyle and Richard and sister, Bonnie.
Gary also had a great love for animals, big and small, and was devoted to his many pets over the years.
Memorial services to be Monday, January 7, 2013 at Mt. View Assembly of God, Marysville at 1:00 p.m. with reception following at the church.
